Farm Style Loaf Spiced

Very few people don’t love a freshly baked loaf of bread that’s been topped with a spiced seasoning and calling for a thick spread of butter. Guaranteed carb satisfaction. I promise you. Salty, spicy, and fragrant crunchiness on the outside with a soft chewiness on the inside. Love it!

WARNING ‼️ High probability of consumers devouring the whole loaf. No jokes. This needs 12 hours to rise. It’s worth it. Just plan accordingly – I prep mine early morning and bake her off in the evening or prep in the eve and bake her in the morning.

Spiced Farm-Style Loaf

Ingredients

  • 375ml lukewarm water, separated
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/4 tsp active yeast
  • 125ml whole milk
  • 125ml water
  • 65g olive oil, separated
  • 830g flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp table salt
  • 1 tsp medium coarse salt
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary

Directions

  1. Add the yeast, lukewarm water and sugar to a small bowl and mix. Allow to stand for 10mins until the mixture becomes foamy. This means your yeast has activated.
  2. Transfer your yeast mixture to a large bowl. Add the milk, water and olive oil and mix well
  3. Add your 830g flour and salt. Mix until roughly combined.
  4. Tip onto a clean surface and start to knead. Knead until a soft but slightly sticky dough has formed.
  5. Place the dough into a large clean and lightly oiled bowl. Cover with cling wrap and allow to rise for 12hours.
  6. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius. Prepare a large loaf tin (15cm x 30cm) by either Coating lightly with butter/oil or a nonstick spray.
  7. Place the risen dough in the tin and lightly poke the dough by using your fingers. Do this with the aim of spreading the dough evenly in the tin but also creating texture. This will give the loaf its signature look – similar to focaccia.
  8. Drizzle 1tbsp olive oil over the dough. Lightly grind the chili flakes, salt, and rosemary together and sprinkle on top Farm Style Loaf Spiced
  9. Bake the loaf for 60mins at 180 degrees celsius. Farm Style Loaf Spiced
  10. Once done baking. Allow the loaf to cool in the tin for 20mins. Remove and slice as desired.
